Occult ABC: Exposing Occult Practices and Ideologies
This is one of those books. In it he details many topics in order to educate Christians about the devices of Satan so that we can avoid them (to be forewarned is to be forearmed). He covers topics such as: astrology, black mass, drug abuse, fortune-telling, hypnotism, magic, pornography, yoga and many other things.
I find Kurt Koch to be a reliable source of information on the topic of the occult. He had a sincere, well-grounded belief in Jesus, and did not exaggerate or tell stories for shock value. His purpose was to educate and warn people of the danger of occult activity which even in the ’s and prior was already massively infiltrating society and the church (and it has only gotten worse in the decades since).
If this is a topic of interest for you, this is an author that is well worth your time.

Book Reviews: Kurt E. Koch: His Works on Possession and the Occult
Kurt E. Koch Review of His Works on Possession and the Occult By Paul C. Stratman, M. Div., S.T.M. I have never heard Kurt Koch called a liar or a fraud. (I have heard that about another writer on the occult.) I have heard Kurt Koch called a “zealot” because of some of the things he includes under the label “occult” including pornography and communism (Occult ABC). (See this review.) Koch included these because he is dealing with the secret (occult) work of the devil. Koch was a pastor, missionary, counselor, and in his books, he was chiefly a storyteller. He must have had a prodigious memory to remember all of these stories, or at least he had a prolific filing system. Hundreds of anecdotes illustrate his explanations. Some of his anecdotes are second hand. Instead of “zealot,” I see him as sharing his encyclopedic knowledge. This is all he knew or heard on the subject, from his own experience and from that of others. For this reason, that he wrote about things nobody else was writing about, his works have great value. An overview of some of his works: Between Christ and Satan, later published as The Lure of th
