MEET GINGER
Ginger Cruz is experienced, credible, and confident. She is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a former Deputy Inspector General with oversight of Iraq reconstruction where she held the civilian equivalent rank of a two-star general. She is a successful private sector CEO in the defense industry, where her company works to maximize local business and workforce content in large federal contracts and make sure they work better for local communities.
Ginger has implemented policy within the executive branch of the federal government and influenced it in the Congress. She has worked with the Secretaries of State and Defense, and eight committees in both the House and Senate.
Ginger is the daughter of a DPW surveyor and a DOE teacher, raised in Dededo and a proud graduate of Guam’s public and private schools. Everything she learned growing up in Guam has contributed to her success and is what drives her to give back and make a difference.

Ginger Crunden Cruz (b. ) is a businesswoman, politician, and former journalist. CEO of Mantid International, Cruz has previously served as Deputy Inspector General for Office of Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction[2] and as Deputy Assistant Secretary United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. She is currently running as a Democrat to serve as Guam’s delegate to the House of Representatives in the general election.[2]

FORMER Guam journalist and government official Ginger Cruz has been cleared of charges hurled against her in her capacity as the top deputy for the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR).
The SIGIR is an independent agency that reports directly to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Department of Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates.
Cruz and the SIGIR Chief, Stuart W. Bowen, were under investigation by the FBI and U.S.
But the Associated Press reported yesterday that the federal government has cleared both Cruz and Bowen.
Last week, on July 9, the President's Council on Integrity and Efficiency similarly cleared Bowen and Cruz of any administrative charges stemming from the accusations, the AP said.
The executive branch council was created to investigate allegations of misconduct by inspectors general at federal agencies.
Both notices came in letters to Bowen's office, according to SIGIR spokeswoman Kristine Belisle as saying
"I always had faith that we'd be cleared of the allegations. We knew there was no basis to them," the AP quoted Cruz as saying.
