Justin Trudeau surprised just about everyone, including his opponent, when he TKO’d Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau during their Fight for the Cure charity boxing match. Bookies had Trudeau as a longshot, giving odds to Brazeau. In an interview on CTV’s Question Period Sunday morning, Brazeau said he made a “rookie mistake” by coming out like a bull in the first round. Brazeau also said he hoped for charity a rematch next year.
The match raised $, for cancer research.
As part of a side bet between the two political heavyweights, Brazeau will cut off his long hair in the House of Commons Monday and wear a Liberal jersey for a week.
