Dramska igralka Iva Babić se je rodila 4. oktobra v Beogradu. Študij dramske igre in umetniške besede je opravila v letniku profesorjev Kristijana Mucka in Dušana Mlakarja na AGRFT Ljubljana, kjer je leta diplomirala. Med študijem se je dodatno izobraževala na gledaliških delavnicah pri Edu Covensu, Scottu Fieldingu in Tomiju Janežiču. Kariero je začela kot svobodna umetnica in se v tem obdobju kalila v več slovenskih gledališčih (SNG Drama Ljubljana, Slovensko mladinsko gledališče, Gledališče Koper, SNG Maribor, Mestno gledališče Ptuj) in pri neinstitucionalnih projektih (Mini teater, Imaginarni). Leta se je zaposlila v Gledališču Koper. Nastopa tudi v filmih in na televiziji. Igralsko se je izkazala v različnih poetikah in kolektivnih stvaritvah. Od leta je članica ansambla ljubljanske Drame, a še vedno sodeluje z neodvisnimi ustvarjalci (Imaginarni) in gostuje v drugih gledališčih
