Factors influencing your Footsteps towards Storytelling and Filmmaking:
My journey with films began at a very young age. I was fortunate enough to be born to an illustrious father – Shri. Bhimsain, who was the Indian animation pioneer and avant-garde filmmaker (also the creator of the indelible short animation film ‘Ek Anek Ekta’ in the 70s). By the time I was 21, I had already made several animation short films under his guidance. But I felt the immense need to upgrade.
Hence, I applied to college overseas. In , I made it to Sheridan College, Canada, one of the finest in the world. Subsequently, I worked with the National Film Board of Canada, making award-winning short films for them. But short films didn’t sustain me financially. Hence in , I branched off independently and got into advertising. It’s been 25 years since then and this indeed has been a very rewarding journey so far. J

The company was founded in by award-winning film-maker & pioneer of animation films in India, Bhimsain Khurana. He named his company Climb Films (renamed Climb Media in ) after his debut film "The Climb"’s success. It was later passed on to his son Kireet Khurana, a 5 time national awardee & a high-honours graduate from Sheridan College, Canada.

In , "The Climb" a one-minute-long short film from India won the Silver Hugo Award, Chicago International Film Festival rapidly increasing its public awareness of its debutante film-maker Bhimsain. Indian animation pioneer and multiple National Award winner Bhimsain Khurana is dead. He was Khurana, known for films like Gharaonda and for iconic animation shorts like Ek Anek Ekta -- with the unforgettable -- Ek chidiya, anek chidiya song -- died at a hospital here on Tuesday while undergoing dialysis, a family source told IANS.

A decorated filmmaker, Khurana is survived by his wife Neelam, sons Himaanshu and Kireet, daughters-in-law Youla and Tehzeeb and grandchildren Kabeer, Nivritti and Mohak. A prayer meet will be held here Friday evening at ISKCON here. Khurana obtained his diploma in Fine Arts and Classical Music from Lucknow University. In , he made his debut with his first animation short "The Climb", which earned him the Silver Hugo Award in the Chicago Film Festival.
