Je présente quelques sculptures des séries Tubulus et Syndrome pour l’exposition Experience Pommery #18, à Reims. L’exposition dure environ une année.

Il s’agit d’une série de sculptures en bronze que j’aime envisager comme une collection de portraits — si j’avais été un pipeline. Les formes biomorphiques rappellent les origines organiques du pétrole, tandis que leurs courbes sensuelles incarnent la résistance, dispersant l’énergie des flux visqueux qui les traversent et formant des structures complexes, enroulées sur elles-mêmes. À la croisée des infrastructures industrielles et des formes organiques anthropomorphes, ces sculptures révèlent notre profond enchevêtrement avec les systèmes qui soutiennent la vie moderne. En détournant les flux réguliers vers des labyrinthes de courbes enchevêtrées, elles exposent la complexité de notre dépendance, transformant l’efficacité de la distribution en une résistance retournée sur elle-même.

Seuils [] Seuils propose l’expérience d’un transit. L’exposition rappelle la vélocité de nos trajets urbains, ces microcoupures dans l’espace-temps du quotidien. L’installation requalifie la mécanique interne de dispositifs d’ouverture des anciennes voitures du métro de Montréal qui fut inauguré pour l’Exposition universelle de Maintenant remplacées par des équipements plus modernes, les voitures MR aujourd’hui obsolètes ont marqué l’imaginaire du déplacement collectif à Montréal. Survivant au cycle de consommation, l’œuvre contribue à maintenir vibrante cette mémoire technique. Il s’agit ici d’une forme d’investigation d’autres mondes possibles à partir des vestiges de celui-ci. Seuils est une installation interactive se présentant comme un parcours que le public est invité à expérimenter.
